ACCESSIBILITY

I want every family to be able to use mynewbornspecialist.com, including parents and caregivers with disabilities. I am working to make the site easy to use for everyone and to meet recognised accessibility standards.

What I am working towards

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set out how to make websites more accessible for people with disabilities. My Newborn Specialist aims to meet WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. The site is partially conformant, which means some parts of it do not yet fully meet that standard.

What I do to support accessibility
I review the site for accessibility when pages are added or changed.
I test the site with automated accessibility tools and by using it with a keyboard alone.
I fix the issues I find, starting with the ones that affect visitors most.

Known limitations
I am aware of the following and am working to fix them.

Some image descriptions, including a few of the certification badges on the About page, do not yet describe the image clearly.

The service cards on the homepage show extra detail on hover, which can be harder to reach without a mouse.
If anything on the site gets in your way, please get in touch and I will help you directly.

Feedback and contact
If you have trouble using any part of this website, or you need information in a different format, please let me know. Tell me the page and what you were trying to do.

Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. It should also work with the screen readers built into or commonly used with them, including VoiceOver on Mac and iPhone, TalkBack on Android, and NVDA and JAWS on Windows. It is not designed for Internet Explorer or very old browser versions.

How the site is built

This website is built on Wix and relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA working together in your browser and any assistive technology you use. Some features, such as the contact form, are provided by Wix, and I have limited control over how they work.

How this was assessed
The accessibility of mynewbornspecialist.com was reviewed in October 2026 using a self-evaluation that combined automated testing with manual checks of keyboard use, forms, images and the mobile layout.

Date
This statement was written on 28 October 2026 and last reviewed on 28 October 2026.
